Join South Dakota State Historical Society Museum Curator of Collections Katy Schmidt for a virtual walk-through of the Cultural Heritage Center exhibit “South Dakota’s Wardrobe: Selected Pieces from the Collection” on Friday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. CST (10 a.m. MST).
Schmidt will take viewers on a personal guided tour of the exhibit, highlighting some of the unique pieces on display and sharing insights these pieces can give us into history.
“Clothing gives us a unique look into the past,” said Schmidt. “It helps us to connect to the stories of the past on a personal level.”
The public can watch and ask questions during the live event on the Cultural Heritage Center’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/MuseumSD. For more information, email Schmidt at Katy.Schmidt@state.sd.us.
