The idea of reflective and interesting quotations coupled with photographs of the Capitol Christmas Trees was hatched with Don Boyd and Jim Szana during the years they worked together with "River Life". Jim and his wife, Sandy, took the photos. Curt Merriman took charge of the layout and design of the photos and quotes Jim put together in his "River Adage" column in "River Life". The book was published in Pierre and not a foreign country or even another state. Merriman Printing did a wonderful job.
