When Hot Springs Was A Pup is the first and only book the Cowboy Poet every wrote on assignment (1927), with the exception of a pamphlet produced for Custer State Park in the 1950's. This 2011 reprint is an exact facsimile of the original (published by the Hot Springs Kiwanis Club as tourism promotional piece) including the forward, by Hot Springs native, Kennet Harris. This beautifully bound volume showcases the author’s innate humor and storytelling skills.
