Join the Annual State History Conference and connect with historians, educators, students, and history enthusiasts from across South Dakota and the surrounding region. This engaging two-day experience features a wide range of presentations and discussions that explore the people, places, and stories that shape our state’s history.

The conference typically draws 120–150 attendees, creating a dynamic environment for learning, conversation, and discovery. Whether you have a deep background in history or simply a personal interest, all are welcome.

Continuing education credits are available for educators attending the conference.

Full Registration Includes:
Trivia on Monday evening; all conference presentations on Tuesday and Wednesday; refreshment breaks; Tuesday lunch and Networking Social; a museum tour; and the Wednesday Awards Luncheon.

Educators who register after the Teacher’s Edition reaches capacity are welcome to attend these sessions at the standard registration rate.
