Steve Linstrom to speak at History and Heritage Book Club

Steve Linstrom will present the process of creating historical fiction when the History and Heritage Book Club meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13 at the Cultural Heritage Center. Steve is the author of two books of historical fiction, “The Last Ram” and “The Murder Trial of the Last Lakota Warrior.” “The Last Ram” is a coming of age story set in the Badlands of south Dakota in 1904. “The Murder Trial of the Last Lakota Warrior” is a courtroom drama set in Sioux Falls in the aftermath of Wounded Knee, pitting a Lakota warrior against the U.S. Army. The books are available in the Heritage Store.

Linstrom may be familiar to some, as he lived in Pierre from 1979 to 1996. He was a fiscal analyst for the Legislative Research Council, director of research for the South Dakota Board of Regents and the State Director of Information Services. Come say hi to Steve!
