We’re excited to welcome Makenzie Huber, an award-winning journalist with South Dakota Searchlight, for a special one-hour session titled "How to Record and Write Life Stories." While we often feature authors, this session responds to growing requests for help capturing the stories of loved ones before they are lost.

Makenzie will share practical tools to help anyone, regardless of writing or historical experience, record oral histories, life stories, and memoirs. Participants will leave with a simple action plan and a set of meaningful questions to guide conversations and preserve family legacies.
