In addition to the entertainment, the 12-4:30 p.m. CST event features demonstrators Bob Travis panning for gold and Laura Hayden-Moreland spinning yarn. There is free admission to the museum, featuring the exhibit “The Spirit of the ‘70s” in the Hogen Gallery, holiday treats and shopping for unique gifts in the Heritage Store. Photos with Santa Claus will be available in the Observation Gallery.

People are encouraged to bring canned goods as a freewill donation for the Pierre Food Pantry.

During the holidays the Cultural Heritage Center will be open extended hours. From Nov. 25-Dec. 23, the hours will be 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. CST Monday through Saturday and 1-4:30 p.m. on Sundays. The Cultural Heritage Center is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s days.
