Virginia Driving Hawk Sneve will be speak Tuesday, April 12

7 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016

Great news! Virginia Driving Hawk Sneve will be speaking to the History and Heritage Book Club in person when the book club meets at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, at the Cultural Heritage Center. This provides an excellent opportunity to hear from a woman who has received many honors, including the Writer of the Year Award from the Western Heritage Hall of Fame and the South Dakota Governor’s Award in the Arts for Distinction in Creative Achievement.

Virginia’s writing has focused on realistically depicting American Indians. She will be reading from her nonfiction book “Completing the Circle,” which tells her own story and the story of the women in her family. You can purchase a copy at the Heritage Store at the Cultural Heritage Center.

She is currently writing a book about Lakota women, to be published by the South Dakota Historical Society Press.

Please come to the book club meeting on April 12 to meet Virginia and learn about this extraordinary woman.
