Attached is a link to South Dakota Public Broadcasting interview with Richard Kurin, Under Secretary of the Smithson Institution for History, Art and Cultural. He will be in Pierre Monday, May 5 to promote his new book, The Smithsonian’s History of America in 101 Objects, available at the Heritage Stores. He is presenting a public program at 7 pm at the Capitol Lake Visitor Center, and I encourage everyone to attend. In addition, that morning he will be meeting with media representatives and touring the Cultural Heritage Center. In the afternoon, he will also be available to sign his book from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the Cultural Heritage Center.
